It is by far my favorite Congo tetra color. They have fascinating deep red fins and an iridescent purple-blue body. The red Congo tetra (Alestopetersius brichardi) is a rare tetra color, so it costs highly in the market.

The blue Congo tetra (Phenacogrammus aurantiacus) is also a rare African tetra. Its colors are unique! Their heads and eyes are fluorescent blue, and the body is shiny gold. However, the blue Congo tetra is very sensitive to the environment, which makes it hard to care for.

Albino congo tetras (Phenacogrammus interruptus) generally display a soft cream hue with a slightly blue, silver, and yellow-gold hue. What makes them so distinct is genuinely not their albino body but their tail fin. It is grayish-violet feathery and stands out with white edges.
